A. Tombstone, Arizona is an actual town. There is no turnstile to get into Tombstone. There are about 1600 of us who live and work here in the clean air of Southern Arizona.

There are no opening and closing hours for the town of Tombstone, but you will find that many of the attractions and shops will open between 9 and 10 in the morning and close between 5 an 6 in the evening. The Restaurants, Saloons, and Paranormal activities stay open later.

A. Many of the shops, restaurants and attraction in Tombstone are open 7 days a week. Please know that each business is individually owned and they set their own hours and days of operation.

A. As Tombstone, Arizona is a living town there is no admission fee to enter Tombstone. However there are fees associated with the various attractions in town.

A. No, each attraction is independently owned and unfortunately there is not a package ticket for all of Tombstone's attractions.

A. Yes, some of Tombstone's attractions do offer group, senior and or military discounts. Inquire at each place of business as you purchase your tickets.

A. Sorry, but we can't list ticket prices on our website as they are subject to change without notifying us, but they do range from $5.00 per person to $15.00 per person, depending upon the individual attraction.

A. Any day of the week is a great day to visit Tombstone, Arizona. There will be more visitors on the weekends and event weekends than weekdays but every day of the week there is something to see and do in town. The only days that aren't recommended are Thanksgiving and Christmas as most places are closed on those days.

A. Depending upon your interests in old west history I recommend at least a full day of fun and adventure in Tombstone. It is also fun to spend a night or two in one of Tombstone’s fine lodging facilities! You can then explore the rest of Cochise County’s natural wonders, ghost towns, military and Native American history and migratory birding adventures that surround the Tombstone area!

A. Tombstone is a very dog friendly town. Many merchants will supply water dishes outside of their establishments for the four-legged family members. But it is best to check individually with each place as to whether or not your pooch is welcome inside.

A. Arizona is an open carry state and it is legal to carry firearms in Tombstone, replica or not. Some businesses do not allow firearms so you should check with individual businesses as to their gun carrying policies.

A. Tombstone is approximately 180 miles from the Phoenix area. You should count on about 3 hours driving before arriving in Tombstone. Tucson is approximately 70 miles from Tombstone. Plan on about an hour and a half to arrive in Tombstone.

A. Tombstone is located at an elevation of approximately 4800 ft. Our seasons do change and with them, changes in our climate. Winter is delightful and offers both the warmth of the sunshine along with a few occasional days of light snow. But for the most part it is a great time to visit. Spring is also wonderful; for with the arrival of spring brings the arrival of the fragrant blossoms that bloom on The World's Largest Rose Tree. The weather is usually quite pleasant and not too hot or cold. Summer brings with it the heat of June with our temperatures sometimes rising to around 100 degrees - but it's a "dry heat". July through September are usually our wet months with the monsoon rains coming in mainly in the late afternoons. With the monsoon rains comes cooler temperatures and, of course, the humidity. This is the time of year to be aware of the many washes that you cross in our area and be cautious when crossing them. The signs, "Do Not Cross When Flooded" are there for a reason. From October to December the average daily temperatures drop and the evenings become cooler. Each season offers its own rewards - why not visit many times?!

A. Tucson International Airport is the closest international airport to Tombstone. There is, however, a small plane airport just about 4 miles east of Tombstone on Highway 80. There are no facilities there. More information about this airport can be obtained from the City of Tombstone.

A. The nearest train/bus depot to Tombstone is located in Benson which is 23 miles northwest of Tombstone. There isn't a "depot" there per se, but a drop off and pick up point with no facilities. You should check with the rail/bus company for the most current information.
