Tombstone Festival of Western Books
The Tombstone Festival of Western Books promotes new and local authors and authors of Western history and historical fiction. It is held indoors at Schieffelin Hall, Fremont St., Tombstone from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026.
Showcasing authors and historical societies publishing works of Western and American Frontier history,
historical fiction, novels of the West, biography, Native American, youth and children’s books, and Western
romance.
The Cochise County Corral of the Westerners is sponsoring the Tombstone Festival of Western Books on Friday, March 13, 2026. The featured author is Anne Hillerman whose Leaphorn/Chee/Manuelito Navajo Police Mysteries are well known as is the Dark Winds. The festival is held the day before the Tucson Festival of Books drawing visitors from that source and with wide support of Tombstone merchants and attractions making it a good day to visit Tombstone
